Jill + Bobby’s Boone Hall Wedding

Saying I Do At The Cotton Dock

I have to start this blog by saying that I wholeheartedly miss planning with these two! Jill and I were planning this wedding for close to two years and I seriously enjoyed every moment of it. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and she has that perfect combination of being laid back  but also knowing what she wants. So the planning process was super fun, and  I really loved her style, so it just made everything so easy and enjoyable. I definitely hit a home run with this bride and I was sad when the day ended and the process was officially over.

I can’t only brag about Jill, because Bobby is (much like Jill) one of the sweetest and most thoughtful grooms anyone could imagine. Places where Jill wanted to cut back to avoid additional cost, Bobby would secretly reach out to make sure everything was covered because he wanted his perfect girl to have the most perfect day. I have also never been thanked so much by anyone in my entire life – I can’t tell you how much we appreciate that and their emails always made my day that much better. The thank you’s and just seeing the happiness on our couples faces is more than we could ever want.

The bride did a first look with her dad which was enough to bring anyone to tears. It was such a special moment and the amount of love they have for each other was so apparent and just really beautiful. I wasn’t sure a moment could top this one… but then Jill and Bobby did their first look under the famously stunning avenue of oaks at Boone Hall, and it completely surpassed all expectations. Let me tell you… I have seen a lot of sweet reactions, but this one really topped them all. Get ready for those goose bumps when you see these pics -it’s just adorable! This is probably a good point to mention that the pictures are PHENOMENAL and of course taken by the one and only Philip Casey. He is just so fun to work with and his pictures blow us away… every.single.time.

The bridal party joined them for group pictures following their first look and we just knew it was going to be a fun day. They were all incredibly nice and just so hilarious.  One of my favorite memories is Jill’s sweet heart of a mom breaking it down with her dad on the party bus prior to the ceremony. It is a moment I am sure to never forget. I laughed so hard with this group – such a fabulous bunch! Everyone’s attire was on point, Jill’s dress was absolutely stunning, and everyone was perfectly accessorized with the most gorgeous flowers provided by Pretty Petals.

The ceremony was as beautiful as the couple and the sun set behind them on the cotton dock. They did a live letter ceremony and left each other letters along with a bottle of wine to drink at their anniversary. I really love this idea and it’s something to look forward to  – not to mention WAY better than eating a cake that’s a year old! They sealed their vows with a kiss and then the party immediately got started. Salthouse Catering knocked it out the park with a delicious dinner, Mix Bartending brought a fabulously fun bar and even better cocktails, and DJ Natty Heavy brought the beats.  I don’t think anyone will be forgetting this extraordinary day – I couldn’t even stop myself from dancing (Thanks Philip for capturing that… insert eye roll). One of my favorite details of the day was the insanely gorgeous greenery wall with cascading lights done by Pretty Petals and Lowcountry Entertainment.

Thank you – thank you – thank you to our fantastic team that day (see below for full list) and to Jill and Bobby for choosing us to be a part of such an incredible process and wedding day. I know that this is just the beginning of a very beautiful life for you two. I am also SO happy you are locals and that I not only got to work with you but also gained two friends from this!

Enjoy some of the pics from their big day and don’t miss out on the entire gallery – which you can check out here!
