Cheers To Seven Years As Charleston Wedding Planners!

The Top Seven Things We Have Learned In The Past Seven Years

Seven years later and we couldn’t be happier to still be able to do our dream job and work with the best people in Charleston! It’s hard to put into words everything we have learned over the years, because we are still learning every day and we are still striving to be the best planners we can be. Every day is a new experience and every client is new and unique in their own way. These are all things that make our job challenging but also keeps us on our toes and challenge us, which we love. We don’t want to do the same event for everyone – we want your event to be unique and to represent YOU!

Christie + Tillman’s Legare Waring House Southern Soirée

Words can not describe the excitement, compassion, genuineness, and gratitude that these two embodied throughout their wedding planning. Sometimes there are people in your life that you meet and think – could this be real? Are people really this nice? These two were EXCITED – and let me tell you, their excitement was contagious! They really were the sweetest couple and it was a wedding I was sad to see come to an end because of how great the planning process was with them. From the start, these two wowed me with their engagement story (HELLO – a flash mom in time square?! So jealous!) and the fun never ended when planning every last detail of this southern soirée.

There is nothing that makes me happier than an intimate soiree that allows for attention to detail and your budget to be focused on what YOU want and not just a large guest count. Ashleigh and Sean did just that and she really thought about all of the details and wanted to make the day so special for her guests and her husband to be!

Invitation Suites

A Detail Photo You Don’t Want To Miss!

One of my favorite wedding day detail pictures is the invitation suite. I don’t know whether it is about those beautiful paper products, the colors, or the different fonts that make me swoon and just fall in love all over again with the details of the day. Also, if you have any interest in your wedding being featured on a blog, an invitation suite is a must have picture! Not to mention, it’s a beautiful keepsake and one you can admire for years to come!

Allison + Matt’s Legare Waring House Wedding Featured On The Wedding Row

Allison + Matt’s Legare Waring House Wedding

The moment I met Allison and her mom, Anita, I knew that this was a wedding I absolutely wanted to be a part of and couldn’t wait to get started! Allison walked into our office in downtown Charleston, with a big beautiful black lab who couldn’t contain his excitement, and neither could I. From the start I absolutely loved this couple and their family and couldn’t have asked for more thoughtful and kind people to work with and plan with diligently for over a year.

The beautiful natural colors chosen for their wedding day, the custom invitation to show off their venue, the bouquet ribbons, the funny but thoughtful grooms cake, and lets not forget my favorite touch… the oyster place cards. This couple made the right choices to stick within their budget and pull off their dream day. Everything was absolutely perfect and I would bet that their faces hurt the next day from their beaming smiles that lasted from start to finish. I seriously adore this couple – they never lost sight of what was important, they are extremely kind and thoughtful, and they made my job so fun. It never felt like work with them!

Thank you to the Wedding row for the fabulous feature that can be seen here and to all the amazing vendors that worked so hard to make sure this day was absolutely flawless! Cheers!

Is A Menu Card A Waste Of Money? Think Again….

Menu Cards and your Table Design

We are quick to let our brides know when they are spending money that can be allocated for something important and we certainly don’t like to see waste. Unfortunately, we have attended/planned too many weddings where we see the guests politely decline the favor and we end up packing them all back up in your car at the end of the night. So you are then left with 200 trinkets and a thinner wallet. Put your money into the design and what will make your guests feel welcome and special!

Nothing finishes off a table quite like a menu card. The simplicity, color, and elegance of a menu card can really tie everything together and add to your overall design. Not to mention, you can always add a welcome note, a quick thank you, or a cute little design or monogram to show off your new married name. Your photographer will LOVE it, your guests will feel welcomed, and I guarantee people will be talking about how beautiful the tablescape looks. Remember a little touch goes a long way!

See some of our couples fabulous menu cards and let us know what you think!
