Sun Valley Wedding Featured in Luxe Mountain Weddings Magazine

Caroline + David

We LOVE weddings, we love new challenges, we love to travel, and we just love Caroline and David! When Caroline reached out to us to be a part of their fabulous June wedding in Sun Valley, how could we possibly say no? Sabine jumped at the opportunity to go to this breathtaking destination and be part of the most perfect day with the sweetest couple. As many of you know, Fabulous Fête and Philip Casey photography make quite the duo – and as always Philip did NOT disappoint when he captured their wedding day.

Continue To Be Inspired In Charleston

We LOVE when photographers and other vendors reach out to us to do inspiration shoots! Teaming up with our favorite vendors, using new vendors, and getting the chance to be creative and inspire our future couples is just SO fun!

When planning a wedding we definitely get asked our opinion, but we never get to do what WE want (Obviously – it’s not our wedding! haha). So, when the opportunity strikes and we get to design whatever our heart desires, we just have the best time!

Fabulous Fete’s one and only, Sabine, worked her bootie off with the phenomenal Dawn (Photographer at Poetry and Paper) to find the perfect vendors to bring their ideas to life.  I think it’s safe to say that they have done an amazing job and we are all swooooooning over this fabulosity!

More Couples Say ‘I do’ To Having Dogs In Their Wedding

We were so excited when Holly at Lowcountry Paws reached out to us about a few of our recent blogs and features. She had seen our couples including their pets in their wedding day and was intrigued about the wedding day process and how we were able to include these fabulous fur babies. Of course being a major pet lover and advocate, Holly wanted to reach out to couples and other vendors who have done this and learn more about this trend, and of course how couples are pulling it off on their big day. We told Holly just how much we LOVE when our couples include their pets and we totally understand that they are part of their family and they want them to be a part of the day. Some of our favorite pictures include our couples with their pets – those pictures always show the couple so happy and full of joy – it’s just such a special moment and we love that it can get captured.

Ashleigh & Sean’s Legare Waring House Wedding Featured On The Wedding Row

There is nothing that makes me happier than an intimate soiree that allows for attention to detail and your budget to be focused on what YOU want and not just a large guest count. Ashleigh and Sean did just that and she really thought about all of the details and wanted to make the day so special for her guests and her husband to be!

Danielle + Drew’s Kiawah Island Wedding Featured on Borrowed and Blue

Borrowed and Blue is SUCH a fabulous wedding blog – we are always so touched when our couples are featured!

Danielle + Drew were the epitome of cool and their event reflected that.  Nothing over the top or unnecessary, they focused on the beautiful surroundings of Mingo Point on Kiawah Island and their guests.   They brought a lot of fun personal items to their wedding, and even Danielle’s grandmother baked the cake – it was perfect!

Red Shutter Studio knocked it out of the park, below are a few teaser photos, check out the feature here!

Governor Thomas Bennett House Delft Blue Featured Inspiration Shoot

Delft Blue Inspiration Shoot Featured in Several Wedding Blogs

Usually we get to bring to life the bride’s vision, but sometimes we get to bring to life OUR vision – inspiration shoots!

The Governor Thomas Bennett House wedding venue let us use their amazing house and grounds as the backdrop to our shoot, and although it rained most of the day, we think it came out pretty fabulous!

Our Delft Blue inspiration came from the blue and white pottery made in and around Delft in the Netherlands from the 16th century.  Our participating vendors were rock stars: Cru Catering, ABCD Cakes (macaroons), WildFlour Pastry (cake), Snyder Rentals, Polished Tabletop (tableware), Squeeze Onsite (cocktails), BlushAir, Fabulous Frocks, Silver Starfish, and of course Reese Moore Photography!

Below are a few teaser pictures, entire gallery is here!

Also, don’t miss out on the incredible features this shoot received from Borrowed and Blue, Elegant Weddings Magazine, Wedding Colors, A Lowcountry Wedding, and Well Wed!

I’m Planning My Own Wedding – Where Do I Start?

Some of you may be planning your own wedding, so for those of you who don’t have a Full Time planner doing everything for you – you may find yourself wondering “Where do I start?”

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, and sometimes you just don’t know where to begin or where to go once the venue and date has been booked.

Below we take you through a typical order we go in when planning our brides’ weddings:

  1. Venue and date – obviously this is the BIG one!  Once you have your venue and date, the ball can start rolling.
  2. Photographer – photographers in Charleston are booked a year or more in advance, it is very competitive.  If you have a few photographers you like, reach out to them for availability and pricing as soon as you have your date so you can meet with them to see if they would be a good fit for your wedding and secure your favorite.
  3. Website & Save the Dates – if you have your date and you’re planning a destination wedding, go ahead and make your wedding website and order the save the dates.  Your guests will need to plan ahead if they are traveling, so add the venue information, registry links, and hotel blocks on the website, and remember to include the website address on your save the date…  And Voila, your guests are immediately all informed!
  4. Dress – depending on how far off your event may be, you will want to start looking at wedding dresses.  Dresses should be ordered 8-10 months before your wedding.  It will take a few months to arrive, then alterations start about 6 weeks before the wedding and can be broken up into up to 3 separate fittings.
  5. Officiate – not getting married in a religious location?  Do you have a family member or friend officiating your ceremony?  Would you rather have a man performing the ceremony than a woman? Putting out the feelers for who will be officiating your ceremony is best done earlier rather than later.
  6. Entertainment – if you have a particular Band or DJ in mind, reach out to them and see if they are available for your date – these vendors only do 1 gig a night so it may be good to reach out early if you’re particular.
  7. Caterer, Florist, Rentals, Cake, and Bar – these vendors typically do multiple events in a day, so there isn’t as big of rush on these – I would focus on these once the rest of the list has been attended to.  In terms of timing, within 6 months of your wedding date these things should be getting worked out.
  8. Transportation, Specialty Furniture or Decor, Videographer, Etc. – these are items we consider “luxury” and happen at the end when the budget is looked at and made sure there is room for it.

With Fabulous Fete as your Day-Of Coordinators, we are with you every step of the way, making recommendations for the right vendors based on your vision and budget – plus we are happy to review any of your contracts to make sure you are taken care of!
